What is This?
Not Quite is a small print shop making screen-printed goods. Manually pulled. Water-based inks (when time allows) and hand sewn (when possible). Limited runs.

Why big superstudio ambitions? It’s an obscure reference to a radical Italian design group. Because everything is not fine. We need radical change.

Not quite architecture belongs to Alison Smithson. The original brutalist. Taken "as found" from her Architects' Journal contributions in the 1950s.

Taken together, it means showing up. Open mind. Dirty hands.
Design in action. Deciding what gets pulled and what gets left alone.
Learning when to intervene. Learning from objects. With feeling.

Humility to notice.
Notice what grows.
Notice what spreads.
Notice what survives without permission.

Dig in. Or don’t.
Everything is not fine.
Love means nothing.
Occasionally optimistic.
